Habitat ReStore – clerks and donation pickups
The ReStore, provider of discount new and used merchandise, is our biggest, consistent fundraiser. The ReStore accepts donations of materials and appliances and sells them at a low price. Clerks restock shelves, tidy and maintain appearance of store, and assist customers as needed. ReStore truck drivers and assistants pick up donations from neighborhood homes. No CDL license required but must be able to lift furniture, etc. Box truck comes with lift gate.

Prepare and provide food for our hard-working volunteers to keep them energized. Currently recruiting lunch providers who will purchase, prepare and deliver lunch one Saturday per month for 5-10 people at the construction site. This could be a team or an individual. Call to volunteer for any Saturday this month. 208-762-4663 ext. 4

Family Selection
We can only build so many houses for our families, so our Family Selection Committee chooses the best candidates to become home recipients and partners in our cause. The committee interviews, screens, and presents applications to the Board of Directors for approval. Volunteer commitment is 1x per month for 1 year. Some travel required.

Family Partnership
Family partners work with our homeowners-to-be to assist families throughout the entire process of becoming homeowners (answering questions, helping with planning and budgeting, recording sweat-equity hours, identifying other community resources, follow-up explanations of training workshop materials, providing home maintenance tips, etc.). Assignment is the length it takes the homeowner to get into their home (can be up to two years) and continues through their first year of home ownership.

Resource Development
Habitat needs charitable financial support to build homes and keep things running. Help secure these funds by seeking out sources of donations and help writing grants. RD volunteers serve on fundraising event committees.
