Kunkel’s Corner Groundbreaking
September 7 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho is set to break ground on the Kunkel’s Corner project in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This will mark the beginning of a new direction in providing affordable housing by Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho in Kootenai County.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 7th at 9am at 601 Neider in Coeur d’Alene. The community is invited to join Habitat for Humanity for this joyous event. Kunkel’s Corner represents a shift from building single unit housing to a multiple unit project that will provide affordable housing for six families who are partnering with Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho. The selected families will have put in approximately 250 Sweat Equity Hours toward building their new home.
“Our entire Habitat team is thrilled to be breaking ground for Kunkel’s Corner named in honor of Greg Kunkel, former Brush With Kindness Repair Supervisor for North Idaho Habitat.” said James Casper, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho. “Dedicated volunteers, donors and staff have been helping to build decent, affordable homes in our community for 31 years, and I am personally proud to announce our next building project in Coeur d’Alene.”
